fly into beijing to board a cruise from tianjin do i need a visa

Question

I fly into Beijing from UK and Leave on a cruise ship 2 days later in Tianjin bound for Japan is 72 or 144 hour visa free valid.I am going round in circles as the Chinese Visa website only states airports and flight tickets. ships are not mentioned.

Hi, if you depart from Tianjin International Cruise Home Port to Japan, you are eligible for 144h visa exemption transit.
