Question

we want to visit china & we are US citizens do we need a visa? if so, can we drop by the china consulate in san francisco, fill out the form with the required documents -pls specify - and be done same day or we have to come back or you can mail it to us?thanks.

Hi, you need visa to visit China. You can apply in Chinese Consulate in San Francisco. The application can't be done same day and you can pick up as soon as the next day after submitting the application. Plus, the consulate doesn't provide mail service.

thanks for your reply but you didn't specify the required documents for US citizens to apply for a visa  for china.we want to have the complete documents required when we go to the china consulate in san francisco and get & complete the application form there.what is the required fee for the visa?thanks again.

Hi, if you go to China for touring, you can apply for tourist L type which requires your passport, application form and recent photo, round trip flight tickets and hotel booking. It costs USD140 for a single entry type.
