Hi I'm from United Kingdom

planning on moving to China mainland to getting married and live with my partner would I need to get my documents legalised and what documents would I need and what type visa will I need any help would be great thanks

Hi, you need to provide single status certificate. You can apply for L type and then switch it into Q type after your marriage.

Hi, affidavit or affirmation can prove your single status. You need to authenticate it at Chinese Embassy in UK and then use it in mainland China.

If you are to stay in China for permanently, no criminal record may needed. You can contact with local Public Security Bureau Exit and Entry Administration for more information.
