About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

UK - Bejing - Hong Kong

We intend to fly into Beijing from the UK, stay for 3 days and then fly out of Beijing to Hong Kong for 2 days.

As Hong Kong allows 180 days stays for UK passport holders, are we OK with just the 72 hour visa waiver for Beijing?

Beijing allows 144 hours transit without visa now. If your UK-Beijing flight is non-stop (or in particular does not stop in Hong Kong or mainland China) your plan is fine.
