How are the dates count for the visa-free program?

May I know which day is count as the first day staying in China? Is it the day I enter or the day after I enter?
For example, if I enter China on June 1 and leaves on June 2, I actually had only spend 1 day within China. Does it mean that the last day I can stay until is June 1+15 = June 16?

Joy, the first time count from the day upon arrival. If you enter China in June 1, you can stay until June 15 without visa.
