About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

we are traveling from uk to Beijing, we will then be transferered to a centrally located hotel for

3 nights, then we will transfer from hotel to port Tianjin to pick board a cruise do do we require a visa or can we travel under the 72 hours rule.

You can travel on 144 hours visa free transit (72 hours is outdated and replaced by 144 hours), but there are two simple conditions:

- Your flight from UK to Beijing should not have any additional landing in mainland China
- Your first port call immediately after you leave Tianjin port should not be within mainland China

If the two above conditions are satisfied, then you can travel on 144 hours visa free transit.
