About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Embassy not available in my state

I do not have a embassy based on my state. I live in Tucson, AZ, USA. There is no embassy in my state. What do I do?

Hi, you can apply at Chinese Embassy in Los Angeles.

Do I physically have to go to the embassy to apply for a visa as a US citizen, to travel to Beijing?

Yes, I know I have to apply before going to China, but I do not live in California. I live in Arizona. Can I apply through the mail or do I have to physically go to the embassy in California to apply?
