About:Visa on Arrival

I am flying direct from NZ to Shenzhen international airport.

Can you please confirm I can get the 5 day VOA from the airport on arrival?

Yes, you can definitely get the 5 day Shenzhen VOA at Shenzhen airport. The "only" problem is your very early arrival, so you will have to wait until 10:00 AM to apply for this visa. By the way, in case that you intend to combine Shenzhen and Hong Kong even better option is 144 hours visa free transit.
