How much time do I have to get from United Airlines' gates to Hong Kong Express gates?

We are arriving to HKG on United and only have about a 35minute connection on HK Express. How far are the two airlines apart and will 35 minutes be enough time to get there? Do we have to go out and back through security to get the the next gate?
