About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from Winnipeg to Delhi thru Guangzhou

Hi,

Do i need a 24 hr transit visa if i am flying from Winnipeg to Delhi thru Guangzhou. I hold Indian passport. The stop at Guangzhou airport is 3~4 hours or can be longer depending on flight i can buy. Can someone advise?

The most important detail is how long will your transit within mainland China take? I know you have mentioned Guangzhou and a layover of 3 to 4 hours, but your question is really incomplete because you are mentioning Winnipeg and there are no flights between Winnipeg and Guangzhou. So, I assume that you will have some other layovers between the two mentioned places and one among them could be an additional stop within mainland China. Now, if this is a case, then you have to calculate the time from your first scheduled arrival in China until your last scheduled departure from China. If the number of hours is less than 24, you are definitely eligible for 24 hours visa free transit.
