About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I have asked a question on this form before

but I have been told the rules have recently changed by a UK visa application company and I am now worried I may need a visa and my trip commences on 30th may.
I travel to Beijing and arrive on 31st May from London, my onward flight is then on 4th June traveling to Hong Kong , on to Bali and then back to uk 18th June.
I am a British citizen with a full uk passport with over six months left and I have a booking for hotel in Beijing for 4 nights. I obviously don't want to turn up at Heathrow and not be allowed to travel.
Regards

In case that your itinerary is London - Beijing - Bali and in case that both of your flights are nonstop, you are perfectly qualified for 144 hours visa free transit. The same thing is valid for your journey back from Bali to London via Beijing. You definitely do not need any kind of visa and trust me, people at Heathrow airport will perfectly know this policy and you will be allowed to board the plane.

Thanks , my flight from Beijing is to Hong Kong for a few days before I go on to Bali. Not worried about the return as Iam flying back from Bali just via Hong Kong to the uk .

As long as you are flying non-stop from London to Beijing then it’s fine. Obviously if your outbound stops in Hong Kong (for example, if you were flying on Cathay Pacific) then you’d need a visa.
