Transit Visa + Cruise with stop elsewhere in China
Hi,
We are UK citizens and have a cruise booked from Tianjin leaving on a Monday 17:00. But will be flying into Beijing on the Saturday to allow for transit. My understanding is that this means we qualify for the 72 hour transit VISA to get to Tianjin for the cruise. The cruise's first stop is Japan and thus meets the A -> Some Transit Region -> C requirement. However about a week into the cruise we stop in Hong Kong for 2 days. This is a different region but we're there in-transit on a cruise which ends in Singapore. We'll be staying on the cruise ship at night.
Does this mean we need a VISA or are we still covered by transit VISAs of some kind?
I'm fairly sure that we actually don't need any kind of VISA for this as UK citizens do not need a VISA for Hong Kong and the 72 hour transit VISA should be sufficient which we fill out on the plane if if I understand correctly? But I thought it's always better to ask!
