About:China Student Visa

Student visa (X2) for China with criminal record (public drunk) in the US?

I'm a European student who once got arrested in the US for public drunk/intoxication. I'm now (potentially) doing a semester abroad in China and need a student visa (X2). What happens if I state that I have a criminal record and explain myself? Would they immediately deny the visa or is it possible to get a visa if its something not as serious (such as my public drunk arrest). Did anyone have the same situation?

Many thanks!

Tom, you may not be denied immediately, so you still have a chance to get a X2.
