Visa application denied in Hong Kong
I have had a few 1 year multi entry Chinese visa's and the last one expired in March so I extended it 2 times at the Public Security Bureau. As they have now expired I traveled to Hong Kong to renew my visa. I used a visa agent and they said as I had been travelling in and out of China many times that I could only apply for a 1 month single entry business visa and it would be best that they submitted the application at the China Visa office situated between Lowu (HK) and Louhu (China) border points. However the application was not successful. She suggested that I can go back to my own country (UK) and apply for the visa there. I asked her about the tick boxes on the application about being refused a visa and she said to tick 'NO'. She said if it was refused there would be a red stamp in my passport to say refused, she said in this case your application was just not accepted because you have stayed long time in China so the only way a new visa would be accepted is to apply at the embassy of your own country. So my questions are is the information given to me by the visa agent correct? does is application in Louhu go down on my record as a 'REFUSED' visa?
