About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Philippine PP Holder traveling Dubai

Hi. I’m traveling to Dubai via Shanghai Pudong and my connection is after 15 hours. Am I eligible for the 24-hour free visa? I’d like to take the time to see the city.

In case that you are flying from the Philippines to Dubai via Shanghai, you are definitely covered by 24 visa free transit in Shanghai. You should apply for 24 hours free entry permit upon your landing in Shanghai to be allowed to exit the airport. Here it is highly advisable to have an overnight booking confirmation in hard copy, especially in case that your layover is during the night hours. Your chances to get entry permit are good, but you should know that the issuing of entry permit is always upon discretion of immigration official.
