Extension of a double entrance visa

Hi,
I am planning to go in and out in China for at least 6 months. I wanted to get multiple entrance but I was offered double entrance instead. I suppose I would have to go to other countries and keep getting the multiple entrance type. Would it be hard to keep getting a double entrance visa every 2 months or so? Would it be problematic that I am European applying for these visas in Asian countries? Thanks.

Egle, it will be fine for you to apply in Asian countries. Plus, it will not be too difficult to keep getting a double entrance visa every 2 months or so. But you are recommended to apply for multiple entry type for the second time if you need to come to China many times next.

Dear Sasha, thank you for your kind reply.

Originally, they didn't give me a multiple entrance and mentioned that it is not commonly given with my (Lithuanian) passport. Do you think they would provide me with it after I use the double entrance one?

One more question, do you know if I could apply for the multiple or even the double entrance whilst in the mainland China?

Thank you so much for all your help! :)
