I have a domestic arrival at Beijing Capital Airport T2 then connecting to LAX.

Do I need to re-check in? I have a Xiamen Airline arrival from Xiamen to PEK, then fly American from PEK to LAX on the same day. It is about 2 hours layover. Ticket was purchased through American. Does anyone know if I need to claim my luggage and re-check in at PEK? Many thanks!
