About:Visa on Arrival

Can I get the VOA at Shenzhen if my Australian passport is brand new?

I will be travelling to SZ for 1 day trip from Hong Kong

Yes you can, but as in other cases, I will encourage you to book an accommodation at least for one night because it appears that this detail is in high demand in the process of issuing of VOA.

Brian, you are definitely eligible for VOA regardless of the fact that your passport is brand new. By the way, I will repeat that in order to facilitate the obtaining of your VOA, you are encouraged to book an accommodation, at least for just one overnight in some cheap hotel and to have a confirmation in hard copy upon your arrival at the border. It appears that this detail is recently highly regarded by Chinese border authorities.
