When booking ticket online, do I need to insert the photo of passport copy?

Can I fill in only passport number?

Passport copy is not 100% necessary as long as all the passenger information offered for booking is correct including names and passport number. If there is any mistake about passenger information, it may influence ticket collection at station counter. Hope for your kind notice. Thank you!
