About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

am I eligible for 144 hour free visa

I am flying from Australia to Shanghai, staying 3 days and then embarking on Majestic Princess to cruise back home to Australia

In case that your route is Australia - Shanghai - Australia you will need a visa because this is not a transit. In case that your flight from Australia to Shanghai lands in Hong Kong or some other airport outside mainland China, then it would be fine. Also, in case that your cruise has some port call between Shanghai and Australia in some other country or in Hong Kong, that would be also fine. Please, just check your whole itinerary with all the details and maybe you will find a detail mentioned above that will spare you from the necessity of obtaining a visa.
