About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we require a transit visa for the following flying with China Southern Airlines.

Melbourne to Moscow via Guangzhou 2-3 hours stopover and Urumqi 5.5 hour stopover.
We will not be leaving the airports.

Yes you need a visa because of the stop in Urumqi.
