Z Work visa

I am 62 and have been offered a contract at a school in Inner Mongolia. Even with a strong letter of invitation can the Chinese Consulate reject my Z Visa, because of the new point system that started in 2017? I understand one gets zero points if you are 60 or above, and this makes it difficult to be approved.

Dave, it's possible to get a Z visa for you. You know, the point system is a point accumulation type. Though you get 0 point in the field of age, you may get scores in other fields. If the scores add up to more than 60, it's possible to get the visa.
