About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Visa for Shenzhen? Help!

Hi, we are 3 Australians travelling from Tokyo to London via Shenzhen. We have a stop over in Shenzhen for less than 24 hours. I've found conflicting info online about whether or not we need a visa. We arrive Saturday 1st June around 11pm and leave Sunday 2nd at like 1pm or 2pm. We have confirmed seats and airline tickets continuing on to London and our visas are valid for longer than 3 months. We will be staying at a hotel overnight. Do we need to apply for visas before we get there, or will we be granted the stamp upon arrival? Thanks!

Hello! Thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate it. You’ve really put my mind at ease. And yep! I meant passport, not Visa. Whoops. Thanks again. L

Of course you can use 24 hours visa free transit in Shenzhen. By the way, not only that... Since couple of days ago, the province of Guangdong has declared the implementation of 144 hours visa free transit and one of eligible ports of entry is Shenzhen airport. So, according to your itinerary, you would be perfectly eligible even for that convenience, but you are actually not because your transit will be just under 24 hours.

One more detail... Your statement regarding the visas that are valid for longer than 3 months is a bit confusing, so I assume that you were talking about the passports.
