About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

Can an Indian National get Visa on Arrival for Hainan?

India doesnt feature in the list of 59 countries for which Visa free is allowed.
But can an Indian national get Visa on arrival? I am Indian national but working in Singapore?

Visa on arrival for Hainan is still nominally available and people still manage to obtain it upon arrival on this Chinese island, but as the time passes, it is in reality substituted with 30-day Free Visa Access. Actually, I would suggest you to refrain from trying to obtain one, since your citizenship is not among 59 eligible countries for 30-day Free Visa Access. It appears that Chinese authorities are now applying the same criteria of eligibility for both options. My suggestion is that you apply for usual Chinese visa and travel the whole country including Hainan because the price for Indians is the same whether we talk about Hainan VOA or usual Chinese visa.
