Invitation Letter by a Hong Kong ID Holder

Hi, I'm a permanent HKID holder with residence in Shenzhen, I'm inviting my friend to stay with me for a month. Will my HK residence permit and rental lease be enough to qualify me to write the invitation letter?

If you are talking about the Mainland Chinese visa here, you should use the Home Return Permit on the invitation letter and attach a copy of your HK/Macau/Taiwan Resident Permit (i.e., the card that looks like a Mainland Chinese ID) if you have one.
