Does that mean the following is possible for me (German Passport with long validity) ?

Frankfurt ----(13 may)----> Shanghai ----(19 may)----> Tokyo

and

Tokyo ---(28 may) ----> Beijing ----(29 may)---> Frankfurt // The layover is only about 3 hours

In this case I would not need any visa right?
