About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Perth - Hong Kong - Beijing - Hawaii

Hi there, above is my route I'm thinking. However the BJ to Hawaii route has a 1hour stop in Shanghai. Am I still able to get the 144hour transit visa?

Thanks Zupan. No, I was planning on staying in BJ to do The Great Wall of China. Just happens the flight to Hawaii stops in Shanghai for an hour :(

Unfortunately, this itinerary is not eligible for 144 hours visa free transit because you have two consecutive stops within mainland China. Anyway, if you are transiting through China without real intention to stay in BJ, you could be eligible for 24 hours visa free transit. For example, if the time between your scheduled arrival in BJ and your scheduled departure from Shanghai is less than 24 hours, you can travel visa free.

Well, in case that your transit through China takes more than 24 hours, you will have to, unfortunately, obtain Chinese visa :(. Of course, you can change your flights, if possible.
