US (JFK)-Heathrow-India-Shanghai-Hawaii (US)

Hello! I am a US passport holder traveling from New York to London to India to Shanghai to Hawaii. I assume India counts as "Country A" and the US (Hawaii) would count as "Country B" and I can take advantage of the 144 hour visa free transit - can you please confirm? Thank you!
