About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US-Shanghai-Rugao

I am flying from US to Shanghai but will need to travel to Rugao for a work conference. (5 days in China.) Flying back out of Shanghai.
Does this qualify for the 144 H visa?

There is no 144 hour visa. You would qualify for 144 hours transit without visa if you fly Country A-Shanghai-Country B. Otherwise you will need a visa.

By the way, Rugao is fine for visit during your stay using a 144 hours visa free transit because it is located within Jiangsu province that is eligible for free travel.
