renew L + M 3 year visa expiring on 18 May
I am a retired university professor. I am a UK citizen based in UK, but I am also a HK permanent resident. I want to get a visa for as long as possible, as I plan to be visiting PRC in future multiple times as a tourist and as an invited academic for conferences and lectures. For my next visit, starting May 23 I have been invited to speak at a conference and give a lecture at Fudan University. I have a three year visa expiring on 18 May 2019. It is marked Category L; Entries M. Previously I had a 1 year visa category M entries 02. Before that I had previous visas, but they are in my old passport. These have all been issued in HK. However, I am now based in UK and will be applying from there. Please advise what I need to to do, how long it will take to get the visa, and how much it will cost. I live in Tunbridge Wells and can travel to London fairly easily if necessary.
