About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

can I get a transit or visa waiver for staying 3/4 days in Zhuhai?

I am arriving into Hong Kong from Istanbul on 29th April, then I am looking at travelling on the Ferry to Zhuhai, can I get a transit or visa waiver for staying 3/4 days in Zhuhai? I will not go there until 1st May and then leave on 4th May. What is possible please?

You can get a VOA at this ports

Gongbei, Hengqin and Jiuzhou ports

Fee is 304 Yuan for UK passport holders.

Thank you. How Long is the VOA valid? I am going to stay in Hong Kong for a few days, then goto Zhuhai in the ferry on the Wednesday night, so should I still purchase the visa or do that in Zhuhai on arrival there? Thank you.

For Zhuhai it's 3 days (duration of stay starts from the day after the visa is issued).

Please, just have in mind that in case that you want to use the ferry between Hong Kong airport and Zhuhai (Jiuzhou port) you should not go through immigration and reclaim your baggage, but you have to follow relevant signs that will direct you to the area where you will purchase your ferry ticket for Zhuhai and proceed toward the ferry. Immigration and customs checks are usually not performed for travelers going to Macau and mainland China, including Zhuhai, so the first checks will be performed by mainland Chinese border authorities where you will be able to obtain VOA.

In case that you cross the immigration, you will not be able to return to the ferries, but you could be able to use the bus that crosses HZMB bridge and arrives in Zhuhai.
