About:Chinese Embassy in Austria

Mexican applying for Chinese visa in Austria

hallo, I am a mexican currently doing my PhD based in France, at the moment I am doing a research stay in Austria for one month. I am attending to a scientific conference in Nanjing next June. Is it possible for me to apply for the Chinese visa from Austria? and before the conference I would like to stay for 4 days to travel a bit. Do I need I tourist or academic visa? Kind Regards, Lucia

Lucia, yes, it's possible to apply for it from Austria and you should keep in mind that you need to go to the CVASC in Vienna to do the application. You can simply apply for an F visa. After you get it, it's fine to travel a bit in China with the F.
