About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

route london - Hong Kong - Shanghai - London

I have a flight from London to Hong Kong and will stay for then Hong Kong for 4 days then a separate flight from Hong to Shanghai staying for two days and the another flight Shanghai to London. Does this qualify for a 72 hour free transit visa?

Yes of course, if your passport qualifies. The Shanghai to London flight must not stop in Hong Kong or mainland China. It’s not a “72 hour free transit visa”. It’s 144 hours transit without visa.
