About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US Passport, YVR-PEK, PVG-YVR with local flight PEK-PVG

I think the answer is that I need a visa, given the transit from PEK-PVG. Arriving Thursday afternoon, departing Monday afternoon. Thank you.

You also need a visa because you're not in transit to a third country.
