More than one Visa-free trip

I am planning on flying from Bali to Shanghai to Berlin in June and from Berlin to Shanghai to Los Angeles in July. On both trips, I was going to stay in Shanghai for less than 144 hours and was hoping to get visa-free passage. Is this allowed?

Yes, you are allowed to use the free transit in both trips. No visa will be required.
