About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Can I get transit Visa at Guangzhou airport and come out explore the city for less than 9 hours?

I am Thai. I am traveling from JFK(Newyork) to Thailand via China Southern airline with a transit at Baiyun airport. The transit time is 9 hours. I would like to know that Can I come out to explore the city during my 9 hours transit time?

First of all, you don't need a Chinese visa. You can enjoy the 24 hours visa free policy because your stopover is only 9 hours. Then if you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for the Stay Permit when you arriving at the airport. It won't take much time. Don't worry.
