About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

KL - Shanghai - Singapore?

From my understanding I should be able to fly from Malaysia to Shanghai and back to Singapore using 144hrs twov?
Is it possible to use different airlines?
How do I obtain my confirmed ticket if I fly with different airlines?

Different airlines and separate tickets are fine. You print your confirmed onward ticket (showing the long ticket number) on paper. You don't need a boarding pass.
