About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

144 transit visa in Quingdao

I will leave San Francisco to Incheon Airport, Korea through Quingdao for 13.5 hrs of layover time, and stay 1 week in Seoul, Korea. After 1 week, I will go to Quingdao for 3 days and go back to San Francisco through the 4hrs of layover in Shanghai. I will leave the airport in Quingdao, but I won't leave the airport in Shanghai. Am I eligible to enter China without visa for both trips of going to Quingdao and coming back to San Francisco?

The first time you qualify for 24 hours transit without visa. But you need a visa for the second entry because of the stop in Shanghai.

Then, I will need to get a visa with single entry. Right?

If you are a US citizen then you can get a 10-year visa at no extra charge. If you are a Korean citizen you can just go for a single-entry visa to save some $.
