Can one travel independently with group visa in china

Attending exhibition in Shanghai china and took group visa for it but there is one more exhibition happening in other city so can I visit that independently but will be exiting china along with other group from Shanghai only

Group members are required to enter and leave the country together with a group visa. As I know, once a group visa is issued, it is necessary to follow the group, and it is not allowed to leave the group on the way.
