Work Visas for Caribbean Nations

I'm confused as I'm seeing various sources of information. I understand as of late the government is cracking down on foreign english teachers by raising the requirements - however I am seeing that these are apparently limited to only nationals/passport holder from the 7 big "English-speaking" nations (US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, South Africa or New Zealand). All others are "non-English speaking" nations.

However, I am from an English-speaking Caribbean commonwealth country. Does this mean that as far as the government is concerned I am not an English speaker? (although note that my bachelors degree is from a UK University).

My concern is, will it be illegal for me to work under the Z visa even if a company does hire me as an English teacher?

Hi, you can inquire your employer if they can get you a work permit from China. If yes, it's possible for you to apply for Chinese work Z visa from the embassy.
