About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Multiple use on one trip

I am travelling from Istanbul to Shanghai and then to Hong Kong. Planning to Hong Kong for 1 day and fly back to Shanghai and then back to Istanbul. Is this a problem?

that is ok without visa if you have Australian passport. The moment you land in the third country the clock resets. There is no minimum time requirement to be out of Mainland China to do another transit, even same day is allowed.
