About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling to Shanghai. Is it free or will I have to pay?

I plan to visit Shanghai for 3 days in July 2019
Do I need a visa or can I get one on arrival at airport?

There is no visa on arrival at Shanghai. If you are visiting China you need a visa. If you are in transit, you may or may not need a visa depending on your route and your nationality.

I plan to fly from Bangkok to Singapore for 4 nights then on to Shanghai for 3 nights and back to Bangkok in late July
Can I get the 144 hour visa with this flight or what do I have to apply for? Thank you in advance..
