qingdao airport layover for 12 hrs 30 mins

We land at 6:45 pm and our flight leaves at 7:25 am.. What can we do in that time? Can we leave the airport go to dinner and get a hotel. Where would you recommend going to dinner and what hotel? What time would we need to back at he airport in the morning to make our connecting flight. Also we have an additional 7 hour layover at the next airport. Can we leave there to check things out? Do we need a transit visa to do this. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you can leave the airport and go to dinner and get a hotel in downtown area. You need to apply for the Stay Permit when you arriving at the airport.You are suggested to find a hotel nearby the Main Railway Station because of the convenient public transportation. You can find many local foods in Dengshan Road and Taishan Road.Generally speaking, you need to go back to the airport at least 2 hours in advance before the departure. Have a nice journey!
