About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Applying transit visa in Shanghai Airport for Indonesian national

Hi all, I'm Indonesian citizen living in England and i will be traveling to Bali Indonesia with my British husband and we have return ticket from England – Bali (Indonesia) , Bali – England.
On the way back, we have a long stopover in Shanghai and wondering if i can get a transit visa in the airport? Thank you

It depends on how long the layover is and whether you will have a hotel reservation.

We will be there for 17 hours before we fly onwards to London. I am hoping to be able to go into shanghai for a few hours....
