About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Transit visa for Canadian permanent residents

Hi! We are permanent residents of Canada and still holding Philippine passports. We have a 14hour lay over in shanghai on our way back to Canada. Do we need a transit visa to be able to go out of the airport for a quick tour?

You can get the 24h twov in Shanghai, but leaving the airport without a visa for a layover under 24 hours is at the immigration officer's discretion.
