About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Ph to hk to shenzhen back to hk then ph

Leaving in ph then fly to hk then planning to visit shenzhen for a day then will return to hk within 24 hr period. Do i still need to get entry permit?

You will need to apply for the Visa on Arrival in Shenzhen. Philippines passport must have had a Chinese visa in the past to be eligible to apply. It also costs CNY168 and time waiting in line, not worth it for one night.
