The distance is around 70km. From Wangfujing, take metro line 1 from Wangfujing to Jianguomen Station and transfer to metro line 2 to Dongzhimen Station. You can use the transportation card when taking metro lines. The ticket fare is CNY 3/person. You can top up the card at the service counters inside metro station. After arriving, you can take bus line 916 Express to Huairou North Avenue (Huairou Beidajie) Station. And it costs CNY 12 (CNY 6 if paid by Beijing Transportation Card) and takes 60-70 minutes. Then, transfer to bus line h23, h24, h35, or h36 to Mutianyu Roundabout. Walk about 450 meters to the ticket office of the scenic area.
