UK- dubai- china

if you flew UK- Dubai- China used the 144 hour twov exemption then flew back to Dubai for a holiday for 7 days would you still qualify for the exemption as the flight is only a stopover in Dubai for an hour or so for the outbound flights and the return is back to Dubai to stay for a holiday. Then obviously fly back to the UK when finished.
