Is Hong Kong >> Shanghai >> Macau works?

I am an expat working and living in Hong Kong with an Australian passport. Is Hong Kong >> Shanghai >> Macau an eligible transit route?

Hong Kong >> Shanghai >> Macau works for the visa-free transit. No visa will be required.
