UK to Hong Kong via Shanghai

If I were to fly UK to Shanghai Pudong with a one-way ticket (European airline), with a ticket in my hand to fly Pudong to Hong Kong lass than three days later (Chinese airline), do I qualify for three-day transit visa? Thanks
